I am going to have to do the same thing! Everytime I lower my dose it magically goes back up, And they do not seem to want to help get you off it, It is very important for the addict to be able to choose when they want to start stopping, If they forced you and you are not ready that would be a disaster. But when you feel ready, and they keep ignoring your lower dosage sheets, And then raise your dose back like they did me, I was on 90 and went down to 48mg, Then a week later I noticed my bottles said 54mg, That is kind of shady to do a patient that way, But I am afraid if the government gets involved on quitting, They will make stupid laws forcing the addict to get off at a certain time, This could ruin methadone treatment at whole, A addict can't feel pressured or rushed, even if it takes three years, But clinics that do dirty c**p like raising you back up should be monitored, But I am afraid to do anything, I am sure that the county I live in, wants to find any excuse to shut the place down. And I am afraid that it will ruin recovery for everyone that goes there if I report it. So I decided to go cold friggin turkey too! When I got on methadone, I replaced my dope obsession with building a gaming pc, Hopefully if I stick to playing GTA 5 and tinkering with my PC I can keep my mind occupied.

I just went cold turkey off 100 MG's a day. I'm on day 9. The first 3 or 4 days I felt great, like superwoman. I was up, cooking, feeling good about my choice and getting my families finances together. Then the symptoms started. Goosebumps, diahrea, headaches, sensitive to light big time. Yawning and wanting to stay in bed all day, but a five year old daughter doesn't go for that. I know I'm doing the right thing. I guess I want someone to tell me I will be out of this zombie stage soon because I cannot go back to the clinic.

Dont know if youre still on here, but justed wanted to say oxys are a similar rattle to heroin. 3-5 days of sh*t then few days to get back up!! Methadone ratlles, even reducing down to 5mgs and cold turkey, which ive done 3 times in jail over tge past 20 yrs of mainly heroin and crack crimes, last sentance was 5yrs! Its sh*t! Ive moved out of england to spain and over the past 7 months, have reduced down to 30mg of green juice methadone.since coming to spain, I got a 2 week holiday script of 30mg per day. Im staying and have got myself down to 12 & 1/2 mgs a day. Ive only got 110mg left, so within 11-13days, im ill!!!!! Ive brought loads of suboxone and subutex as well, and aftrr I got clean this way before, it works. Ill have last tablet, hopefully I can get down to 5mg a day. Ill wait min 2 days, so in rattle, then take 1mg of subutex. Dont take suboxone till at least a week after last meth tablet, or will send in to full blown cold turkey, the naloxone in them rips tge rattle out, but very bad!! My plan is to take about4 mgs of subutex for a couple weeks, then reduce down to 0.4 a day, then got a little rattle to do. No energy is main sympton. Which is a blessing over the length and physixal pain methodone is to get off. Last meth only rattle and it was over 2 months of no sleep and still yawning and snerzing!!! Devils juicw!!! The detox on subutex last time, I took valium for 2 weeks and zopiclone on night.
Good for you but. The difference is methadone withdrawal is at its worst at day 24 it is a never ending process. Feels like jumping off a five story building every 3 minute. Congrats,
honestly not to be funny but alot of men take drugs to preform sexually. You have to up you sex game and make him feel proud. I can tell your not a good sex partner. He is not happy with you as of now.

My husband was on 110mgs for 6 years. Lost his job and couldnt go back. Hes on day 13 of cold turkey and hes in pure hell. Anybody that says theres a worse drug out the is completely out of their minds and uneducated on this EVIL drug. Try watching the love of your life cry nonstop, beg for death and seize up like a pretzel. Do your homework before saying this isnt bad. Sweetie, do you even know who invented it? How many DISEASES this drug causes? Not what it does to your body but to your brain? You become numb to EVERYTHING on this drug. It robs you of your freaking soul while slowly killing you. I advise everyone to please not stop this drug cold turkey especially on a high dose for YEARS. Oh and when my husband asked to be lowered to get off of it they wouldnt let him. That drug is the devil, invented by a devil and will rob you of all happiness.

My husband has been off it for 1 week. He on 50mg is he going to go through withdrawal because right he hasn't been sick. Just some nausea, fatigue and sleeplessness.

I am a sitter for a 3yr boy, and 6 month old girl. So far the only really bad symptoms are :
Stomache ache and insomnia.
I was on 90 mg, and came down 1mg every 14 days. Well I was on 71 my last gull dose. I am quitting cold turkey from 71mg.
Anyone that can give me advice, or help me to understand how to do it without ANY other pills or such..

Hey, I just read your article and I want to let you know first of all congrats to him for being strong. I myself walked off off a 215 mg methadone dose and so far it has been a successful and huge burden lifted. The only thing I have issues with is always feeling so drained in the morning. I'm scared to take a sip or do a bag. I learned my lesson. But Lord knows I need some energy. Any solutions????? That would be so helpful. Thanks and congratulations. Don't ever look back. Be strong.
well I would just like to say I am coming off of 260 mg cold turkey and I'm into it about 3 weeks and last night I ended up in the ER because of it the stomach cramps got so horrible and the vomiting and got so horrible I couldn't take it so they coladapin and some other pills for anti nausea it can't be much longer
