Why am I always hungry? I am a skinny 10 year old girl turning 11 this year. Every few hours I get hungry, my stomach growls and my mouth water.

I am not an expert, but you are ten years old and that is very young. Your body is growing! A growing body needs food and it may be that you are entering puberty or are in it and that brings about some significant changes in the body that would require a lot of food. For example, you get taller, your hips and breasts grow, not to mention all the internal stuff that is happening. Think about it like this, you know how they say when a woman is pregnant she is eating for two? Does that make sense to you? Well, it's similar to you because you are eating for a body that is going through a lot of changes. If you are sexually active there is the chance of pregnancy and then you would be literally eating for two. You know, Guest, when I was ten I thought I was so old. Have you heard of anorexia? You know girls who see themselves as fat and no one understands how this can be when they are so thin, well they literally don't see themselves as they are. This can also happen with young girls, they can literally feel older than they are. Sometimes, if your family or teachers treat you older it can make you feel older.  I want to tell you that you are a child. Don't take this the wrong way. You should be happy you are a growing child. Life is long! You have a lot a head of you. I say this because, I wonder why being hungry would worry you? Do you think it's bad to be hungry? Are you worried about gaining weight? It's good that you voice your concerns somewhere where you can get good advice.
