OK, so I showed up for my appointment and my doctor decided to biopsy on one of the "moles" on my back.
..And the other, he was supposed to cut off.. but he chose to "freeze it off" with a shot or two of nitrogen, which stung more than the biopsy one. he also chose to go after another small one that was "developing".
i chose to point out one on my abdomen, and he agreed to freeze that one also. Unfortunately, he ran out of the stuff after an initial shot or two.
So,to summarize, he stitched up one, the second one blistered badly, and the small one adjacent blistered, and my abdomen blistered. After the third day, the second one fell off, as the blisters popped...which is what I think that it was supposed to do. Now, the site is healing, scabbed over, etc.
My smaller two have not fallen off, though I think as they are exposed and rubbed by clothing, towel, etc, that they will yet.
There was no infection, and all sites are healing nicely. I get the stitches out this next Wednesday.

Yep, they all fell off, and the stitches came out, but not without a little bit of problem that required the use of "steri-tape" to hold the last of the incision closed again.
So, all four of the moles are off, and the resulting patch of redder "new skin" underneath is likely to fade over time, and hopefully will not be as noticable as the brownblack moles were. Anyway, I believe I made the right decision.
The results of the biopsy came back, and the doctor reported that they were found to be "pre-cancerous cells"...so it's just as well that i had them all removed, he says. He also says we were correct to get that first one cut off, cause there were some unusual cells in there doing unusual things...and I'm just as well without them.
So, all is well now. Except for the bill... which will be paid off in installments. But it appears to have been worth it.

Im glad I found this. I hate moles so much and I cant really talk to people about it cause they just think Im crazy. All my life, since I was very little, I always found them gross. I had many removed over the years and removed many myself. People think this is crazy too but most of the time it left no scars and even if it did, I much prefer it to the original mole. I have one on my foot and when I was a kid and kids used to say I look liked I stepped in dog sh*t. Anyway, Im getting off topic but I do know how it feels. If I meet a guy, I dont care about height, body type etc., the most important thing is that he has no moles anywhere - then I find him attractive. Anyway, I am aware that this is not normal but what to do, I doubt a psychologist could help.
As I said I have removed some myself with really good results. I just used alcohol from the pharmacy to clean the mole and the nail scissors I used and then cut it off. After I would disinfect it again and put antiseptic creme and a bandaid on it. This way I removed about 20 moles on my face, chest, legs and arms and only twice it left a scar. The one on my foot or ones that grew back I had lasered or surgically removed. It is not cheap but made a huge difference to my confidence, I now wear skirts, bikinis etc, something I was always ashamed of before. I know my disgust with moles is strange and I am glad most people are not like me but I cant help it, I just find them so ugly and such a turn off. Not freckles or small spots, but anything bigger than the back of a pencil.

The mole was raised to begin with and very dark, I'm sure I just didn't get all of it the first time, I probably should have applied acv for at least two more days to be sure it was all gone. This is a disciplined process but WELL worth it! I wish everyone the best of luck and hope you feel beautiful and confident when your through!
There are some great little band aids that are small and round in shape that are prefect for holding a piece of cotton on moles, although I will say that even with putting Vaseline around the mole, my face still turned red around it because the acv bled onto the band aids cotton piece. I'd say the absolute best thing to do would be just dab the mole with acv every 20 mins all day for as many days as you can. That way you can avoid using band aids and redness altogether.

It's really annoying and ugly. I have been using ACV for about 2 days and have not gotten any results so I just gave up. However, today I felt it and it felt a lot flatter. It looked the same, just a bit flatter.
When I reapplied it today, I felt 2 microscopic (lol) crusts on the mole that came off easily, that also gave me more hope.
I will continue to use this daily. Maybe someday I can finally tie my hair up -_-

I am 16 years in 9th februrary 2012. And I am planning to do the Apple Cider Vinegar home remedy. I will use a cotton swab to pab the Apple Cider Vinegar, and after that I will just put a Bandaid on it. I will do that every night which is around 12 hours.
After doing this for 1-10 days, depends if it falls eariler. I will use the rest of the nights by putting Vitamine E Salve on the scar, and put a Bandaid on it. For around a week.
I hope this is going to work. I have a big black birthmark mole on my face which is around 0.5cm big in diameter. I feel so unsecure about it. So I hope you people are willing to give advices. Or take this as an advice. I will post if anything of what I said worked/or did not work.
