Hello, i had a small mole on my arm and a friend told me to apply a slice of okra on it and leave for a while held with a bandaid, i kept applying the juice for about a week but i did not see any results and then tried the apple cider vinegar thing, i soaked a small cotton ball and kept it in place with a bandaid for about a week- changing the apple cider cotton ball every day. within a week the mole scabbed and fell off. i do not know if the okra started the removal or if the vinegar did the trick. i now have another mole i am going to work on with the vinegar, and if no results will try the okra again too. good luck!

Did downwiththesickness perish or something, perhaps from melanoma after all of his home remedies?

not sure if we should all be happily following his guidance without the aforementioned promised follow-up.

PLEASE SEE YOUR DERMATOLOGIST FIRST BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE ANY OF YOUR MOLES (FLAT OR RAISED). There won't be any side effects with normal moles. But God forbid, you have a pre-cancerous mole, you could easily kill yourself by having it removed with these crude methods. There are people who have died of Melanoma after messing around with a pre-cancerous mole. Some had new moles spread all over their face and body before they passed away. So again, please check with your dermatologist first. If they suspect a mole to be cancerous, they would have it biopsied before "safely" removing it. It's not worth the risk really.

I to have these damn things on my face, neck and arms so I've decided to get all the supplies in and have a go at removal, starting with the ACV on the mole and Vaseline around it to prevent any burning. I noticed some change after two to three days on two flat moles on the arm, scabs formed and now I'm applying savlon to aid new skin recovery. The mole i experimented with on my face which is slighlty larger but still flat has also scabbed up but I can't decide whether its new skin forming or if the mole still there. I've decided to give it the Baking Soda and Castor oil treatment. This is sting nicely so I assume its doing something, it also stays inplace nicely if the paste is mixed well. I am also steering away from the Black salve stuff as I believe the cons outway the pros with this treatment. Good luck to you and to those trying out these remedies. Lets hope they work.

Cheers

Greg

Do not remove moles by yourself. You could be setting an unstoppable chain of reactions that will result in your death. It does sound awful but that is the truth. If the mole you are trying to remove is already malignant, you could be causing it to "ulcerate" and send malignant melanoma cell through your lymphatic system which will eventually reach any organ in your body: liver, lungs, brain, ...

Have in mind that melanoma is one of the most unpredictable types of cancer, and there is no cure for it. Only way to remove it is through surgery. Chemo does not work. Immunotherapy works somewhat, but it's more used as a prevention if you are at high risk of re-occurrence.

All in all, do not remove moles by yourself. Go see a dermatologist and schedule a dermatoscopy. That way a Dr will tell you which moles are safe and which are not! Do not joke around with this stuff if you appreciate your health and your life

I got rid of a mole on my face successfully, using apple cider vinegar but it takes TIME to heal perfectly. To protect the skin around the mole, I used bandaids with a hole cut in them so it would just tackle the mole and not the skin around it. I soaked a cotton ball and used another bandaid to hold it on, and it really broke up the mole. I then (probably shouldn't have) scraped the mole away. This of course left a scab when healing, but after using Mederma, it's like it was never there. The whole process took about 2 months though and you do look goofy for awhile. I'm currently tackling another mole on my face, and as far as anyone knows, I cut myself shaving :)

Not sure if everybody is just trolling this thread or could it be that most of you have no clue about moles. Either way , this is ridiculous.

I had a red mole on my breast that seemed to be slowly getting larger.   I pricked it with a needle and it was very fleshy and didn't bleed.  I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide and applied baking soda.  I did this three nites in a row, but only pricked it with the needle that first nite. I don't know if the peroxide was necessary but you will need to wet the area with something to get the baking soda to stick, then cover it with a band aid.  I do think pricking it with a needle is necessary, at least to speed up the process.  By the third day it had dried into a black thing and I think it was the fourth or fifth day I just scraped it off.  A week later there was no scar, no sign that I ever had it.

Do not use DermaTend.  I used it on several of the moles on my face and now I am left with hideous scars on every location where I used to have a mole.  I don't know which is worse, the mole or the scar.  I am disgusted by the way I look and I feel like there is nothing I can do to change it.  I've visited with a dermatologist about removing them and they pretty much told me to just live with them and be happy.  I did have two moles removed by the dermatologist.  One on my chest and one on my back.  Sure, they scarred up, but they are barely seen now after about 6 months of healing time.  I've never tried ACV on any of my moles.  I need a solution to help me remove the moles on my face.  All I read about is a lot of other people who have moles on their face with no solutions to successfully remove them.  I'm starting to think this is hopeless.
