My two year old Son has had high temperatures that last about a week once every month! Without any other symptoms. He has been admitted to hospital 4-5 times with various tests done and finding nothing, Until recently a wonderful Doctor decided to dig deeper in the barrell and test him on very rare diseases, and one of them being Avium bacterium which to his surprise and a lot of other medical staff came back positive. So to follow up those results he had a lymphnode removed from my sons neck to be examined for these certain waxy cells! but when the lymphnode was removed none of those cells were found but the lymphnode was definately abnormal, and was sent away to be tested to which they diagnosed it dead! currently they are doing some sort of DNA test on his lymphnode to distinguish what sort of bug that has been making him Ill. But Im just wondering what does it mean if his lymphnodes are dead, do they play a big part in the human anatomy? Will we have to be worried about him contracting anything easier than most people?
