I had my gallbladder removed 20yrs ago. I have borderline type 2 diabetes but am not overweight. Starting being sick after consuming only half glass of wine and have noticed the same nausea after the slightest amount of alcohol. I have never consumed much alcolhol through my life but would like the option to do so now and again. I am worried there is something wrong with my liver

I am just wondering why you suddenly want to have the option of consuming a lot of alcohol given the fact that you have been, at most, a light drinker all your life. Alcohol is not an antidote for depression. It will only numb your nervous system to a point where it detaches itself from the real world. Alcohol will exacerbate your diabetic condition. It is also bad for your liver. I agree with your assessment that your liver may not be functioning properly. Undiagnosed hepatitis can cause cirrhosis of the liver over time, and cause the symptoms you are experiencing. I also suspect that your general health is poor. You need to see your doctor to have your liver checked out. If you continue to drink, you will die.
