MGUS, also known as, MONOCLONAL GAMMOPATHY of UNDERTERMINED SIGNIFICANCE, is a benign condition in which there is a higher risk of developing cancer. It is a rare condition caused by an over abundabnce of a certain protein in the blood. There are no symptoms and is usually discovered coincidentally during a blood test looking for some other disease or condition. People with this condition have to be under a Drs. supervision and must have examinations more frequently to see if this has progressed into something else.
