Does anyone who has had the experience of neuroma surgery (I was operated on both feet), find that the pain is different but not pleasant and neurontin does help settle down the nerve pain. Removing the nerves does numb the area, but activity and alcohol seem to aggravate the condition. I wish I could have found an alternative to surgery. I had the sclerosing injections...they didn't work, and I was experiencing shooting stabbing pains. I don't have the shooting pains like I used to, but these new set of pains is still very aggravating.
