i have not had my period for two months now.  i am 45 years old.   for the last 3 to 4 years i have lived in chronic pain, and nerve and back trouble. i have to take strong narcotics oxycodone 30mg  4xday and they dont even half way touch the pain. i try so hard to keep my faith.  but i stay so lazy an wont leave my house, hardly sleep and depression i also am afraid to go find out it its memopause because anytime i go to emergancy room they keepp me for sepsis.  i have a nine year old girl and i really dont have anyone to care for her for me to stay in hospital,    but if my period stop because its memopause  then do i have to go have it checked out?  and is there test they can do to show that it is the change of life working on me?

I have experienced the samething.  Dr. says menopause.  No biggy on not having period. I have had bk surgery and need it again but refuse to take narcotics.  I take somas when needed.  They r controlled substance but not narcotic.   Maybe u r just gettin immuned to your pain meds.  Yes they can give u a test to c if u r menopauseal. Hope u get to feelin better
