No period after IUD is removed..

I had my Paragurd removed in Fed and I had one reg period and now nothing and I have taking 3 hpt and all are Neg HElP I don't know what is going on ...Oh and all period before iud was reg..I had reg iud for 5 years and copper for 1 year

I actually had my Mirena IUD taken out today. I have had an IUD in for the past 10 years now. However I think it has been causing me all kinds of bad side effects. Similar to hypothyroidism. Hair falling out, weight gain, been on a diet for 6 months and unable to lose a single pound!! Among lots of other things. And no period the entire time. It completely went away with the IUD. So I am now hoping that even having had one in for 10 years, I can get my body back to normal, have a period, and just feel "okay" again. I will never get another IUD! Some reading I have done on different websites and discussions makes it seem like IUD's can actually cause copper toxicity in you, and alot of symptoms. Though...the doctor seems to think it doesn't cause any symptoms. But good luck. I'm hoping to actually get A period again and be normal after so many years!!

So i had my mirena removed on 2/11, it is now 4/14 and no period. Nothing. I only had the mirena for about a 1 1/2 before i had it removed due to occasional pain during sex, and severe cramps about one a month. Although, for the first year everything was fine, and i even lost weight. Once i had the mirena removed all those symptoms went away, but i still dont understand why i havent got my period, especially since i spotted the whole time i had mirena.. hopefully this helps someone, and/or someone can help me by sharing their own experience and letting me know im not crazy or the only one out there who this had happened too...

I'm still trying to decide whether or not I am comforted by all of you going through similar events or if I'm even more paranoid. :( Here's my experience: I had my Mirena taken out on March 22nd and started bleeding like crazy on the 24th - 28th of the same month. We decided to wait to TTC close to a month post IUD. We have attempted to conceive several times since then. However, I still haven't had a visit from AF. I'm not sure what to make of it. I did call the doctors office and was informed that my period should have come the 24th of April. Well, 1) that's 3 days off from when it should have come and 2) I'm still waiting. Hearing that some of you have been waiting for 6 months to 3 years has really got me worried! *Crossing my fingers for ua all*

I was bleeding non stop with my iud and I took it out because I want another child. Apon removal I didn't bleed dr said give it a week.. It has been two weeks no bleeding.. Breast are sore and having an upset stomach.. Took two pregnancy test and both negative. Really wanna start trying does anyone know how long it take to become regular?

same thing wirh me, im 29. had my iud out(copper) and periods are now 1.5 days, pretty heavy then just stops, with iud it was brown,spotting for 3 days, period for 3 days, then spotting a day. ttc for 1 month but got my period again, only 1.5 days long... i do.t understand...

Hey Michelle I am in the same situation I got my Mirena IUD removed on March 10 2014 and ever since I have not got my period I thought I was pregnant but I took a pregnancy test at home and came negative. I actually took 4 of them at home. I was a bit worried so I decided to go to a clinic and get a blood test on Tues. May 27 2014 and the Dr. gave me the results the next day and came out negative. So now I am really worried. I spoke to my Doctor today actually May. 29. 2014 and they told me to wait another month " so that would be a total of 3 months with no period " and see if it comes if it does not come down he will put me in birth control pills and that would actually make my period come down. Michelle I would recommend you to go see your Dr. if by 3 months you dont get your period they said it shouldnt take that long. My Doctor told me when things like this happen not getting your period for a long time you could be at risk of Uterus Cancer and you might not know it. So yes if I was you I will go see your Dr.. I had mine removed a couple of years ago and my period never returned. I took an aspirin for a headache one day and had a day or two of spotting but that is all. I'm definitely not an elephant, so pregnancy is out. I don't know what happened but it isn't a disruption anymore so I've got that going for me and pap has been fine. I had my regular period on dec 4...removed my iud dec 15 started my period dec16 heavy flow with blood clots for about 7 days...I don't know if that is another period...here it sis January 18 and still no period...taken many pregnancy test all negative...my breast started leaking yellow fluid...ugh what does all this mean

I got my mierna iud of 4 days ago and still noperiod, the doctor said I had fresh sperm from the day before and the day of the removal, could I be prego?

Hi. How is it going? Any baby news yet? I have the same problem here. No regular period since iud removal. I have taken 2 preg test but both were BFN. Also taken 2 ov tesr but negative. We are actively TTC.But I only had like light bleeding a couple says every 3 mo while on iud and I've had 2 of them. Got my first iud back in 2008. Any more news would help me. Thanks.
