Hi, guys. My friend has been experiencing some leg pain. At first, doctors suspected on neuropathy. However, after further testing, it seems that it has some other background. This neuropathy is probably caused by non systemic vasculitis. I would appreciate if someone could tell me something more, since I am not a medical expert and I don’t know much about it.
Hi darren1296
I have been recently (1 month) been diagnosed with NSVN non systemic vasculitis neuropathy. From what I understand it is a rare, painful neuropathy. I have it in my feet, ankle & up my legs, in my hands as well. The pain is unbearable, 24/7, burns, throbs, sensitive to touch, my toes do not move voluntarily.. They are always a funny colour with purple & white spots. My Dr. told me that my immune system is attacking my blood vessels, therefore my muscles are wasting. I take a IVIG treatment every 4 weeks at a hospital. I do not see any changes yet, with 3 treatments. The treatment is to slow the disease down but it does not cure it. Hoping for the best. June
