Hang in there man. Once they get the physical thing taken care of you will be ok. Your stress level and your lack of erection are probably very related. Use the time to explore other interests then sex/masterbation or develop. Do not focus on the problem. Just go to the doctor every now and then to make progress. I'm dealing with the same thing right now and it sucks. You are not alone.

is there any way it can be stopped without going to the doctor
I have a numb penis too.
Mine begun when i was 14-15 then has slowly gotten worse over time. Now I` m 21 and I barely feel anything when I have sex.
Like you it gets worse when erect.
Ive been taken anti-depressants since it started.
I've been to doctors and they have no clue...
All I can say is that my life sucks right now.

Try welbutrin, it effecs dopamaine. Dopamaine is the nerotransmitter for pleasure.
Most anti d's increase seritonin, lots of seritonin is bad for sex.
dont mind my bad spelling.

Gotta tell you it's VERY hard to follow your posting. :?
Please use capitals and punctuation. Complete sentences would help also.
But the guy who quoted you above understood you well enough to offer some good advice, so I yield to him. :)

Are you sure. Wellbutrin is an anti depressant and it has withdrawal problems: psychdrugtruth.com/bupropion.htm.
Here is one of them:
Wellbutrin withdrawal - Erectile Dysfunction – Incapable of having sexual intercourse. Even though a man desires sex he is inhibited in his sexual activity and is unable to have or maintain an erection of the penis.
Doesn't look the right thing to do to me...

I'm quoting my own post just to say maybe this is wrong after all... After reading a couple of other websites and Wikipedia this anti-depressant seems to be prescribed to counter the side effects of SSRI Anti-depressants that cause sexual disfunctions.
Wellbutrin (Bupropion), seems to even be prescribed to men who have no depression, but have sexual problems. It may be worth a try after all.

I have the same problem. I can't get it up enough to masturbate. I can get it up to have sex with my partner but cannot cum and just keep going till she has had enough. If I stop taking my antidepressants for 2 days I can cum after a while. I also get sore balls 5 out of 7 days a week and it comes and goes. It is driving me insane. Nothing else seems to work so I will start taking my meds only 5 days a week and hope I handle my head insanity and withdrawls. Then lots of sex till I get my release. When I was a teenager I remember going hiking and getting sore balls after a few days (no masturbating) I would stop wearing jocks and have a long shower when I got home. It worked well. As soon as I get sore balls now I take my jocks off and losen my belt and have a bruffen. It helps but without the release it won't go away.
I urge you to speak with your doctor about this before you back off on your medications.
It is possible that you may seriously impact your treatment by self-modifying your prescription strength.
If you seriously can't orgasm or function sexually while on these antidepressants, tell your doctor and tell them what you are planning to do. They NEED to know what's going wrong for you. There may be alternatives.
Also, you speak of going hiking and getting sore balls. Are you saying that the physical action of hiking or walking would produce and ache in the testicles, or are you saying the potent effect of being out in nature would make you turned on?
You also speak about as soon as you get sore balls now, you take your "jocks off", loosen the belt, and have a bruffen. By "taking your jocks off" are you talking about removing your jockey style underwear, or actually taking an athletic supporter off?
In my experience, an athletic supporter is only used to athletic competition, or when doing something that would 'endanger the testicles or scrotum'. Hiking doesn't seem to be one, to my mind.... though horseback riding or other things might.
