There are a lot of mysteries in our bodies. I had a lot of these symptoms and still do from time to time. I had what I thought was a stroke 10 years ago and the doctors refused to believe it because I was in my 40s and didn't do tests. After a few years I had a TIA. After that, my neurologist put me on Aggrenox and I have to keep taking it to help prevent another one. I do still have some symptoms from the earlier damage and from time to time have symptoms of TIA again. I have a lot of neurological problems and most of my doctors believe I have MS.

Hello everyone,
I am here because my Mother too is having symptoms like these. She has had it for about a month now. The doctors told her it was a pinched nerve she went to a caropractor and nothing has changed the caro told her it may be a medical issue then the docs told her it was a caro issue.......I am at a loss.....I have researched some possible causes and came back with this Charcot-Marie-Tooth dicease.....Anyone heard of it? this is a dicease that is an inherited mutation of genes causeing weakness in the legs and arms. I am afraid this may be the calpret and could use any information anyone has. My mother interacts with my children and does use a computer but not with her left hand, she has had issues when she was a child that she could not move her legs (straighten them at times)..... Please provide any information if possible.

I am actually thinking of asking about lyme disease next time i have an appointment. I really think it is more in the lines of nerve damage since i did have a TIA or stroke like event in 2009. It has been with me ever since then and that was over a year now, hand and foot terrible pain and numbness and hard to use for any physical purposes including walking! I wish someone knew what this was and that their was medication to relieve it!

I am from India and I am amazed at the number of people suffering from the same problem.
My two fingers suddenly went numb after a bath yesterday and has not improved till now.
I am scared, reading all the possible diagnosis. Just hope it is a simple B12 deficiency and nothing more.
I cannot afford a battery of tests to rule out the worst....

But why has no one reported the progress after medication or whether the numbness went away on its own ?
Could it be because I carry a laptop around all the time and had a hairline fracture on my left shoulder two years ago?

I have tried this as well as other types of medication I take 400mg of nuerontin (sp) in the evenings to help me sleep. It calms the nerve endings i guess and lets me fall out.

these symtoms have been with me now going on two years, everyday and they never go away. left hand and foot sometimes ear and face on the left side always feel numb and tingly!

I guess i have resigned myself to the fact that this is with me till the end...

I have been lifting weigths now for about 8 months and have nt given my self much rest, I now suffer from a numb, type of pins and neddle sensation in my left upper and lower arm from time to time, up to 8 times a day for periods of 2-4 mins. My docotor has told me its too much weigths as the sensation seems to be generated from my sphine around the traps area. My cure he says is to stop weigths for 1 to 2 months, i dont want to do this and would rather try to discover which routines harm me and aviod doing them..... has anyone ever discovered this and any ideas on cure or prevention, and if i continue is it going to be dangerous?????????

Right i think this is related to cholestorol

Strange thing when i did a check last time i had this i was basically having this all day long

and i am only 26 yes stressed and all

Thing is

anyone who has these symptoms should do a cholestorol check and they should try to cut down on all the fats

You dont need to be Chunky to have bad levels

I have similar symptoms on the left pinkies (hand and foot)  after reading the one about mold toxins and how it damages the immune systems,  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***
I would like to try this holistic approach especially when my blood work is normal and my EKG is normal... also, I've eliminated gluten from my diet and it helps a lot.

I have been having similar symptoms since early Feb. 2011. I used to work as a skydiving instructor, but on the 3rd jump of the day I suddenly found I had no strength in my left arm & crash landed. (thought the problem was with my parachute!)  since then my left arm/hand has gotten weaker, numb & tingles, and sometimes my left leg does too. I can feel how much weaker & thinner my left leg is than my right.  33yo female medical assistant w/ history of asthma, appendectomy March 2011, neck & back xrays & MRIs all negative July 2011. my Dr referred me to a neurologist but I couldn't get an appointment til Sept.

I am 14 yrs old. The tingling start this morning in my left pinky and I figured it was nothing and I had slept wrong. I got concerned when it spread to my ring finger, then middle finger, and I now I can't feel my hand at all. My mom said it was nothing and would go away, but it doesn't seem like it.

Is it always on the left? I have to write a lot in school and if I can't write then I'm gonna fail...

Oh I love you, I was freaking out about this and then I looked up the cubital tunnel syndrome which sounds exactly like what's happening to me! I feel much better!

I just starting getting this a couple days ago. mine was in my right hand and little finger though, and now it kinda moves to the back of my hands now and then and every so very often the side of the ends of my feet.  Never had any other medical problems asides a broken arm so wasn't sure.  But I was wondering.  Could all this be caused by a pinched nerve in the lower back because of slouching at a computer?  I'm 6'2'' and do half of my days work on a computer and the other half at a warehouse and it feels like when I get up and start walking around awhile it usually goes away enough so I forget about it. And when I got to sleep it just disappears and doesn't show back up until after a few hours that's I've been awake.

I just got up and stretched really well and it almost all just went away...  Now that is interesting.

Bump for thread.
I live in Perth WA Aus and i was diagnosed with Rikketsia a while back. It lasted about 2.5 months and left me in hospital for a month since the symptoms were so severe. Anyway about a month afterwards i had the symptoms that everyone is reporting crop up. Also in addition to OP everytime i grip or hit something remotely hard on the left side the area hurts immensely. Any feedback would be appreciated.
