For the last 3 - 4 months, most times I have intercourse with my husband I start bleeding. The blood is dark in colour almost black and can last for days or weeks. It may be that the bleeding stops for a couple of days and in that time I may have sex with my husband again and the bleeding will start again. I am not sure if my normal cycle is adding to the bleeding time as I am not regular now. I am 40 years old. I have a history of abnormal periods, and have had a couple of abnormal pap smears. I had a andreometric? oblation about 4 years ago to try and control the amount of bleeding and the length of time I was bleeding for.
