Hi, I have a painful wisdom tooth, so I was proposed to have oral surgery. Is it really necessary, or are there also other treatment options?

Hi, often impacted teeth or wisdom teeth require oral surgery to solve the problem. If the jaw is not large enough to allow room for wisdom teeth, the growing wisdom tooth causes pain. However, if wisdom tooth fails to emerge in proper alignment or fails to fully emerge through the gum line it is "impacted" between the jawbone and the gum tissue. It leads to swelling, pain, and infection of the gum tissue around. so, to prevent any of these complications it is the best to have the surgery done.
