I had a laparascopic cystectomy last wednesday to remove a cyst the size of a grapefruit. Thank God my doctor was able to save my ovary. But two days after surgery I started having pain again so I set up an appointment (today is Thursday, 8 DAYS AFTER SURGERY) I went in, they done an ultrasound and found a cyst already 4cm big which is about half the size of the last one. I'm on birth control pills and that doesn't seem to work. I'm so frustrated with this I just felt like crying when they told me I had another one so soon. I go back for a repeat ultrasound in a month to remeasure unless I'm having bad pain they told me to come back sooner. Has anyone ever went through this? If so what was the outcome? I'm afraid they will end up having to take my whole left ovary.

I just had 3 drained. 1 on each ovary and 1 in my right tube i felt great for 5 days after and now I have all the symptoms again. Took 6 months of different specialist and tests that all came back fine before I found a dr who believed me that I thought there was something in me and he did a laparoscopy. My follow up isn't till jan 6. I'm so upset, I thought my pain was over and I could stop living on pain pills. I'm going to request the be removed being that I have done research and read they can fill back up. Don't know why they only drain them when they can fill back up, it's not fair to make someone suffer. I wish all of us the best and to be pain free for good. Happy holidays!!

I was having bad pain so my docor sent me to have surgery to to get my left tube removed because I had a cyst on it. Then a few months later I was back in the hospital because of the same thing. I had more cysts. I had those removed on Dec. 8 2014. Now im in pain again it makes me sooooooo depressed.

It is pretty normal to have a cyst. I had a cyst removed that was 10cm-7cm big because it leaked and gave me horrible pain (and I was 16 back then). They can come back and they are normal to have.

AND GOT A UTI I FEEL SO BAD FOR EVERYONE GOING THRU THIS THEY EVEN TOLD HER TO GET AN COPPER IUD IN AND SHE DID AND STILL CANT STOP BLEEDING AND THE GYN DR REASSURED THAT EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF WELL IT CAME BACK AND WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT

2 and 1/2 month ago had a 10 cm dermoid cyst removed from my right ovary. 2 days ago i went for an ultra sounds, cause i was having pain. Cyst came back and its 5 cm. Birth control did not help me, i've been on it for 17 years now.

I am 34 years old and just had a bleeding cyst removed a week ago and feeling good. But had my follow up today and my doctor says that theres a possibility that it can come back and of course i ask is there anything i can do to prevent it and he says unfortunately no its just something the body does. So im hoping it doesn't cause he had a point im still young even though ive had a partial hysterectomy i still need to keep my ovaries as long as i can. Its such a painful thing i dont want to go through again.

Back in November I started having pain on my lower right stomach. Pain went away then came back in December went to the hospital and turned out I had a cyst the size of a football(what the emergency room doctor said) went for surgery and the obgyn said it was the size of a watermelon. Got it taken out and now I'm having pain in the same spot. I'm supposed to get my period next week so I'm not sure if it's period cramps(don't get them often) or if it's growing back. Could it be??

I had 3 cm cyst on my right ovary and had laparoscopy done 3 months ago, it was removed. During surgery doctor found very small cyst on left ovary and removed it too. But now follow up ultrasound I have 2 new cysts on my left ovary... I am in Canada now and can't even see the gynecologist for next few months...
