I have quit smoking over 4 months now after smoking for 30 years.  I have been to the ER 3 times in the last 3 months.  Blood tests, CT,XRAYS,STRESS TEST, ECHO GRAM. Everything Thank god is ok but I am miserable.  I have shortness of breathe,  I feel like i have to yawn and cant take a full breathe.  After a day of yawning my ribs start to hurt. Some days I am ok, some days i feel like my lungs hurt.  my doctor tried giving me antibiotics because he was thinking I have inflamation of the lungs, he gave me ventolin and another cortisone inhaler. After I complained that the inhaler made me feel worse he told me to discontinue and gave me xanax.  I dont get it I am not in a panic nor Do I feel like I have anxiety.  I smoked for 30 years never complained about anything now I cant leave the doctors office. Does anyone feel the same

Yes it's all anxiety related. I quit 15 months ago and went through all of those symptoms.

Fatigue from quitting smoking peak within days, and generally gone after a couple of weeks. If yours go beyond the timeframe, it is better that you seek medical advice. If you experience this in the early stage of the process, try eating lots of water and consume healthy foods. And if you can, take some walks and physical exercises and relax.
