Would be interested in any advice for overheating in marathons. In terms of hydration is there a difference between water and lucozade on race day and the day prior. Can one have too many electrolytes in their system? I pumped up the electrolytes the day prior and drank more lucozade vis-a-vis water on race day. Overheated and failed to finish a marathon on the weekend.
Would appreciate any thoughts, advice on how to prevent overheating both through preparation and on race-day.
