hi,
i am in quite a pickle, i'm having quite some discomfort in my vagina, and i have no health insurance (let alone money) to pay for a gynocologist. If anyone can help me figure out a simple at home remedy or a suggestion on where to go, it would be very helpful.
the discomfort noted above is:
on the top of my vagina on my left between on the innerside of the outer labia theres a small almost circle where it looks as if skin is missing, i may have clipped myself shaving, but i don't remember doing so.
a little farther south on my right side of the vaginal opening it feels dry although has moisture on it, is a brighter pink almost red, its extremely sensitive to touch. water seems to temporarrily soothe the pain.
i have been "airing myself" at night and have been abstaining from sexual activity and it isnt getting better (or worse).

what do i do???
Sounds like the beginning of a yeast infection to me. I would go get Canesten or some other over the counter treatment. Also, can you not go and talk to a pharmasist?

Sounds like it could be HPV or syphilis. Both treatable, but only with a doctor. With HPV there is an inexpensive vinegar test you can try...I guess the vinegar turns it white, but it would prolly hurt if you don't know what you're doing. HPVs can get removed, but then you have to keep up cervical cancer screenings, and with syphilis, if you don't get it treated it will eventually kill you, and it's an unpleasant way to go, and can take anywhere between a few months and a couple years, but there are other symptoms with each stage that if you research, you can keep track. But my biggest suggestion would be to find a cheap insurance company. My boyfriends dad pays 80 a month and has full coverage that he just bought a few weeks ago and he's in his late 50s, so there are definitely plans out there that you can find and afford. Depending on your circumstances, you can have free gov't insurance, which my family had a for a couple years after my dad passed away...

I'm sorry to rant. It's 2am and I'm ridiculously tired. Good luck, and I really hope find out and successfully treat whatever this may be....and I also apologize for any gramatical/spelling errors...I'm going to sleep now. Again, the best of luck to you.
