Right when I start to urinate, I get a sharp pain. As I continue to urinate, it goes away. There is no burning or itching. Just a sharp pain at the beginning. Is this a urinary infection? Or something else. Also no fever.
Hi there,
Experiencing that pain when you urinate is most often a symptom of urinary tract infection. However this can be caused by other things, like sexually transmitted diseases or it you suffered some kind of trauma in your penis. But if this is caused by urinary tract infection then the treatment is rather simple. You will need to take some antibiotics for several days and you will be cleared of an infection and also you won’t notice any more pain when you urinate. However if the pain is consistent you should see a doctor and run some test and see what really is causing your problem in your urinary tract. I hope this helped you a bit.
How is your condition now. Did you get cause and treatment... thanks
