I recently had a mammogram. I was called back to repeat the left side.Total ,five compressions.
The following morning I had extreme pain in my left arm and shoulder. It slowly subsided.
The next day I was applying pain cream on my ribs under my left breast and noticed a thick line like spaghetti going from my breast down over my ribs, ending in a few little soft bumps to the left of my belly button. Painful.
I saw my doctor. She said it was lymphatic "Stranding". I can't sleep on my left side due to fluid retention there. My whole left chest, and ribs hurt.
Ever heard of this? Thankyou. Brenda
I haven't heard of this. did you experience discomfort during the test. It is a primitive contraption (smile). I think you will get your answers when your test results come back. It will tell you if there is a problem...so you are well on your way to an answer. I hope that your test results come back in your favor. However, if they do not, I am sure that you are aware that breast diseases can be treated aggressively and there are many success stories. Please keep us updated....I wish you well...Let us know

You are so right in saying its a primitive contraption! We're going there to get the health of our breasts checked. But in doing so we get our boobs smashed- thats crazy. I had mammo done a few weeks ago. Right breast is still in pain-very bad tenderness.

I just had mine yesterday, and besides the pain from being squashed, i have a nice 5" laceration under my left breast. Don't think the young lady was skilled enough to do this, and i have sent a note to my doctor asking what the risk of my getting a staph infection is? Really nice contraption, just like men: Invented stockings, the bra, the mammogram, and the pap
