I too have the same problem , ive had my mirena for about 11 months now and for those 11 months it was great sex was awesome , but just recently 2 months ago i lost all my baby weight n ever since then , the discomfort during sex is unbelievable ! I went to my doctor and she said maybe bc i had lost all that weight the mirena is sitting lower , she also told me not to ever do that sex poition , idk what the problem is , my husband wants me to take it off ! Please give me good answers for my big problem !
My knowledge of this is just about nil. My wife may know better so perhaps you should talk to her. Offhand, if it is the device causing a problem, then maybe you should have it removed. There may be better alternatives though. I am not ideal, but would you like me to research into this issue?
My wife was doing a little search on Mirena, a site called drugwatch says there is a study that says this iud can migrate from the normal position and actually perforate the uterus and enter the abdominal cavity, pelvis, bladder, or blood vessels. The study says "this a frequently encountered complication." despite Bayer caliming it is rare. It sounds like this something you should check out. Other serious side effects were identified, none sounding good at all. There are a number of federal lawsuits against Bayer regarding the safety of this product. We hope this helps you.
