I has a THR in April 2017. Everything was a steady recovery and totally pain free for a good 6/7 months then suddenly a 'toothache' type of pain started in the new hip joint especially while walking and is very sore momentarily after sitting for a while in one position. None of these experiences were evident for at least 6 months but have now given me cause for concern. I walk quite a bit but do no other strenuous activity as I am 66 years old. I have had a very sporting life prior to needing the hip replacement but decided to cut back once the operation was done.  Can anyone offer advice or reassurance that it just literally takes time, please?
