well, i have swollen breasts every time i am almost on my period ... and then when i finish, it goes away. Then this time, after my period , they kept on being painful and are still painful up to now. i thought maybe it was because i recently got married and maybe the pressure of sexual pressure was causing this but i have since adjusted and am now comfortable with myself but the pain still will not go away. i thought i was pregnant which is not it because i went on my periods again.

What could it be?

Hi, i am 36 years old and over the last 6 months have had swollen and very painful breast for a good 10 days out of every month, my periods are now quite regular after being sterilised. I am hopefully quite healthy but only have i could say a couple of normal days out of every monthly cycle. my hormones are out of the roof for a good 3 days then i get a few spots on my face for a couple of days then the watermelons show for a good week then i have a couple of days as my normal self then my period arrives. I just needed to know its normal and according to all the postings it is. :'(

My girlfriend have the same problem that someone here said, she finished here period a week ago, and is having this horrible breast pain, but she did get a tattoo recently in the back, and has not wear a BRA for like a week, can this be the cause for her pain? i can rule out pregnancy since, we have always been really carefully, i always use condoms and don't even ejaculate inside, im really worried about her

I seem to have breast pain about 4-5 days before my period. I've had this every since I hurt my breasts during an exercise in P.E. a few years ago. I was doing chin ups and I was really struggling and pulled up really hard and then jumped back down. I didn't feel any pain until I got home, sat on my bed and bent down to take off my shoes. When I bent down, my breasts barely touched my knees, yet it felt like someone had done surgery around my left nipple and had put a small ball inside. I almost fell to the floor from the pain. My mom took me to the doctor and it turned out I had damaged the tissue while exercising. Now I have this very tender, painful feeling in both breasts. Also, my breasts seem to swell. They don't go to a fully larger size, but they seem to be fuller on top and more round on the bottom.

Hi,
I am 25 years old, in shape, 5 feet tall and BMI is normal,
It's been since November 26th that both my breast have been swollen. I went to see many doctors as well as gynos and passed a million of tests. Nobody seems to be able to tell me what is going on. I have gotten twice my period since and blood test reveal that i am not indeed pregnant. One Doctor thought i might of miscarried, but after furthers test, it turned out to be negative. It's going to be 2 months now that i have a hard time sleeping at night, and nothing is changing, worse it's getting more and more painful. I have blue veins on both my breast and everyday I'm finding new stretch marks. Any information anybody has would help.

Thanks

Tina

Hi, my periods are about 15 days late, i'm not pregnant, and my breasts hurt ALOT. More than they usually hurt before my periods start. but this time i've noticed my nipples have swollen up, does this happen to anyone else? and does anyone know what are the causes to this? I would go to the doctors, but it's sunday, and bank holiday tomorrow :-(

I have these bruises on the bottom of my left breast. I'm a teen so I mean I do play a lot of sports, but I don't recall hitting it or anything but when I sleep and I lean to the left it hurts so much that I have to move. There are no lumps but I mean it's kind of scary to have a bruise on your breast.

Babe, just go and check it out. there is no point in wondering and waiting.... better to have your mind at ease which I'm sure it will be. And if worse case scenario it was something bad, better to catch early! good luck xo

I have had swollen breasts for about a couple of weeks now. My period came 8 days earlier than usual which really surprised me. However, the period has stopped for a bout a week now, and my breasts are still swollen. My right one is more swollen and hurts near the armpit. I have an IUD so I thought I couldn't possibly be pregnant. But then I read that there is a small chance a person with an IUD can get pregnant. And then I read that some people even have periods, although lighter, when pregnant. So now I'm not sure what my swollen breasts are caused from. I thought maybe they might be caused from taking calcium and magnesium supplements. That cured my menstruation cramps, but now these darn swollen breasts. So I stopped taking the calcium and magnesium. I will see if that makes a difference. And I will also do a home pregnancy test and see. I will be in shock if I am pregnant. I'm 46. Have grown up 26 year old. Have IUD. I Better check just in case.

I'm 15 years old and my left breast is larger than usual (slightly bigger than the right) and feels swollen and uncomfortable all the time (I sometimes feel a slight ache or pain). I can't feel any lumps, but it does feel particularly swollen around the bottom, and it feels painful when I press on it hard (similar to how some people get before their period). My breasts have felt tender before I started my period in the past, but never this swollen or uncomfortable and this is only in the left breast, my right one is completely normal. I am due my period around next week, but it often comes late so I am not sure if it's the cause. I am not sexually active and have never been pregnant, so I don't think that could be the cause either. Please help, I'm really worried...

How old are you? Are you sure it's not just from growing? For some reason masturbating or having your boy friend do it for you, seems to help teenagers with many problems such as menstrual cramps etc.
Of course another reason for sore breasts is being pregnant and having your milk come in.
