Im 19 years old, ive been drinking since 15 years old, not heavily though, just on the weekends but when i do drink i drink quite a bit. i recently went to the docs and they think i have pancreatits. i know that one of the major causes of this is heavily drinking, and i was wondering since i usually only drink on the weekends if this could be a reason to my case, or not because its not really heavily drinking?

Drinking can and probably is the cause of your pancreatitis.

One drink may be enough for some people, everyone responds differently to alcohol.

I'm not judging here but drinking "quite a bit" tells me you drink heavy on weekends. Heavy is heavy, whether it is every day or occasionally. The pancreas has to work hard to produce insulin, glucagon, and several other important hormones.
