I recently had emergency surgery to remove a cyst from my ovary. My Dr removed my ovary, the cyst and the fallopian tube. The local Pathology department could not agree if something was cancerous or not so they sent it to M D Anderson for reveiw. Para tubal serous neoplasm of LMP was the diagnosis received from MD,
I am 46 years old and my family is complete. My Dr consulted with an Oncologist (GYN) and I will be having a full hysterectomy as soon as I heal enough from the cyst removal surgery.
Prior to surgery (cyst) my DR advised me that he would take anything that he found suspicious or necessary. He has said that all looked very good to him when he was in surgery and has said so since this diagnosis was determined. My Dr (who I trust completely) says the hysterectomy with annual exams is all I will need to do. I would appreciate any information, experiences etc regarding my topic. Thank you!!!

Get second/third opinions! I had the same surgery and was diagnosed with the same type. My first oncologists' opinion is to leave everything, and just have ultrasounds, exams every 3 months. I am going to get another opinion now!
