What birth control are you taking?

I would definitely go back on BC not for the purpose of contraception but more for balancing your hormones!! I would say it's worth a shot.

I find this super interesting because I am 18 years of age and have the exact same issues! My mom has hypothyroidism and saw the signs before I did. It took me a year to get properly diagnosed and then after never having a regular period since I first started when I was 13, we decided it was time to see a gynecologist too. I was put on thyroid medication and a birth control pill for hypothyroidism and PCOS. My energy went up right away, I dropped 15-20lbs in a week, and just felt so much better. Being a D1 athlete I have struggled to keep up my energy to maintain my grueling workout regime. It didn't matter if I worked out one day a week or 7 days a week multiple times a day, I never lost weight. Since being put on these two medications, my migraines and headaches have decreased, the weight I was carrying in odd places has disappeared, and I just look and feel a lot better. It's noticeable too. All of this happened about a month ago. In the last week though I've started having pain in areas where my ovaries should be. I'm not quite sure why, freaking me out a little bit, and I don't seem to be holding off the weight I was dropping anymore despite there being no change in my diet or workout schedules (if anything I am working out more than I was before). I'm wondering if this has happened to anybody else and what I should do about it.
