Hi guys, I'm a 22 year old male and 2 days ago I noticed that the skin on my glans and under it (the coronal sulcus) seemed to be peeling a lot, though because I'm not circumcised it wasn't really dry. The peeling skin could be rolled off like a regular exfoliated white, very thin dead skin layer. Anyways, I wasn't really worried (though I thought it strange) until today when I rolled the foreskin back and found a thin tear in the skin along the circumference of the coronal sulcus on the left side. The right side hasn't torn yet, but the skin looks thin like it is about to develop the same tear like wound. Now I'm going crazy as you can imagine looking all over the net and finding only similar stories, but nothing quite the same. Going to see the doc is out of the question because I have a very sick dog that requires me to hold him 24/7 (small poodle). If I even hand him off to someone else so i can go to the can for 5 minutes he goes crazy (he also can't walk and is almost 18). Suffice to say I physically can't get to the doc right now. In panic I tried putting tee tree oil on the area and it has left a burning itchy sensation on the right side, but not on the cut. I'm thinking of putting neosporin on the cut. Finally, I have also recently abstained from masturbation for about a week now before this started happening and I've never had sex (though I got tested about a year ago for virtually every STD), so I don't think it is a manual tearing of the skin. I believe I may have a bacterial urethral infection too (though I'm afraid to take the oral meds I was given months ago because they could cause seizures and I'm diagnosed epileptic since a year and a half ago). As a side note, I abstained from masturbation because I think the excessive masturbation as a kid and continued masturbation produced a very stretched out shaft skin and foreskin that I think has lost sensitivity (though that's another problem).
Sorry for the long, hard to read and partially off topic story.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this and if they cured it. From my reading I am thinking it might be a fungal infection, but there is nothing on a fungal infection causing a tear in the skin. PLEASE anyone help, it seems to have progressed to this stage in only three days. Is there anything I can do at home to cure this.

No worries – it sounds like just a yeast infection. Candida yeast on the penis/under the foreskin will cause cracks or tears in the skin – sort of like chapped lips. Try using a female yeast remedy like monistat or vagisil. These are easier on the skin than other types of antifungal medications – just make sure you buy the cream type and use it for the full seven days. You can also use a penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) after the infection clears up to help stop it from happening again and keep the skin in overall good shape.

Ok so as an update from last night. After putting on the tea tree oil and waiting for the burning sensation to subside on the right side. I then retracted the foreskin and found these (very hard to describe) lines of bubbly skin filled with white fluid beneath the corona wrapping around the coronal sulcus where the oil had settled into the wrinkles of the foreskin I guess. Just barely rubbing my finger over part of a couple of these lines seemed to be enough to break them open and drain the tiny amount of liquid inside. So, I rinsed and dried the area careful not to break anymore and put a tissue on the right side and folded the foreskin back over everything (like I said I have a long foreskin). In the morning, the tissue had only a little moisture on it and after removing this and again rinsing the area I found that all the white lines had drained or just disappeared leaving behind patches of exposed skin (like if a blister had popped and left behind the skin underneath). Now I'm wondering if I have herpes and the oil just brought this out? Though I hope this is just an overreaction. Also, the area on the right is itchy like crazy, but I am not touching it, just folding the foreskin back over and hoping for the best. Finally, it looks like the cut may be healing.
Again, sorry for the long post, but I'm freaking out! Please anyone, any advice would be much appreciated!

Much thanks for the info Alex. I am very relieved that the cut could just be from the yeast infection. It sure looked bad. As for the Man1 man oil, I have heard of this and will probably get some soon, it looks promising!
Also, sorry for the updated post. I didn't see your response until I posted it since I'm writing everything on a phone.
Thanks again!

Hi there,
I have some white thing around the sulcus of my penis. Can you reply and tell me what it is and give some good advice?
Thank you.

My penis sulcus skin is light thick. I sometimes have a bleeding when it gets erected, or when trying to masturbate. What is going on?
