Anyone have an experience with Penile Revascularization?

For those unfamiliar with what it might be:
"This surgery generally is done in younger men who have injuries that affect blood flow to the penis. During surgery, a portion of a blood vessel from elsewhere in the abdomen is used to bypass the damaged portion of artery that supplies blood to the penis."

Also is it true that surgery on the veins to keep them from draining blood from the penis (venous ligation) is no longer done?

Sorry, I haven't.

I think that a venous ligation is no longer performed based on its inefficacy or on the side effects. As I understand it, this new surgery is supposed to help out quite a bit.

Why do you ask? Are you interested in having the surgery done? I am only curious because it would be nice to know. If you are having the surgery done, it would help to hear about it. Please let us know how things turn out.

Well if I do infact have a venous leak... I would hope to find a doctor that'll perform it on me.

AH, that is unfortunate. I'm sorry to hear that you have a venous leak. Have you spoken to your primary physician about it at all? I think that the best way to find a surgeon who will perform the surgery is to talk to doctors about it or to look for urologists in your area and call their offices to find out. I wish you luck.
