Im 14 years old and have recently started retracting my foreskin. When fully retracted the head of my penis will lean to the left because of a thin piece of skin connecting my foreskin to the head. It looks like a minor skin bridge (Not Circumsized). Its not symmetrically placed so I dont think its natural. It hasnt cause any pain unless I purposefully try to seperate the head and the foreskin from eachother. Im honestly just thinking about snipping it because it looks like it wont really even bleed. Any suggestions? Is a operation even necessary?

Hi Guest,

Skin bridges are very common early in puberty and are considered NORMAL.  As you get older your foreskin separates the layers.  Sometimes it doesn't happen all at once.  Normal erections and masturbation will help it separate.

Most guys can't retract their foreskin until about 16 - so you are AHEAD in that department.

It can bleed and it can leave a scar if you cut it.  You are better to just wait it out, and of course help it separate by masturbating.  Then, if in a year or two it hasn't separated, see your doctor/urologist.  It's a very quick - and painless procedure in the office.  It is NOT a circumcision.

Hope it helps.
