You never said if you were circumcised or not! It might make a difference since many men who had circumcision done report decreased sensitivity, especially in the head area. The main reason for this is that the glans (the head) thickens after foreskin removal to avoid irritation from the external surroundings and may lose its sensitivity.

Perhaps is your penis just insensitive. Has it always been like this?
Since, this is the case, I am not sure if it is possible to reverse the situation. In that case, you should work on realizing what things and what ways stimulate you the most and practice them. Try different positions in sex. You may want to rub your penis against vaginal walls to get a stimulation, etc. Of course, you would have to introduce your girlfriend to these special techniques, so that both of you could work on your stimulation.

You could pay a visit to an urologist and see if your insensitivity could be linked to something else like sensitivity loss due to lowered sexual desire; skin problems or nerve damage from infections or traumas; or talk to a therapist if you had any psychological problems about not wanting sex.

Medicines may cause a decrease in sexual desire and a lack of sensation in particular. Check your med info that comes in the bag from the pham. or ask your phamasist.

I'm circumcised and it's the opposite. My glans are the only part of the penis that has sensitivity. The rest is completely insensitive...

genital mutilation at any age is the major unspoken culprit in male sexual disorders. more so if the removal of the extra sensitive parts is done early on. the topic is very real but very taboo. do some internet searching to learn the truth that even we as doctors are neither taught about nor allowed to even mention!!
other reasons include diabetic or other nerve damage, many medications and any agent that also reduces free testosterone, examples are almost all psychoactive meds and most antihypertensive meds. if diabetes is the culprit you should exercise religiously and maintain full control over your sugar levels. as for the circumcision, you can try reading about stretching methods to help cover the glans and return some sensitivity to it. you can also join the millions who have been mauled by the knife in donating to reseach on using stem cells to regenerate ones one lost penile parts. which may come in a couple of years if the funds are donated as this is all based on whether they can fund the research and later market the procedure profitably or not.
