I also got my period the day following surgery. This was only 11 days after I had my normal period.

I just had my gallbladder taken out on June 6, 2007 and got my period the day before surgery (16 days early). I was actually hospitalized for a few days before the surgery because of an inflamed gallbladder and infection in the pancreas due to a loged gallstone in the pancreas. I did mention to a number of doctors about my period and they all said that it was probably stress related or becuase I had stop taking my birth control pills once I got admitted into the hospital.

Stress can completely stop your period, even if it is the heaviest day. It can delay it or enable it to start completely out of the normal cycle.

I had started my menstrul cycle two days ago and went into surgery yesterday to get my gallbladder removed and wine uo today and my period is actually heavier but it's still very messed up from delivering my daughter in August. Idk if I should worry or not. What do you think?

My mother had surgery 11-9-2017, 9 weeks ago she has been bleeding continuously since then. It's stopped for a day or so but then continues. Soaks a pad every 2 hours max. Is this normal for patients or is this concerning?
