hidranditis supperativa.....I am a white male 48 been living with the inner thigh issue since i was 13 years old. It does get worse then it gets better then it gets worse. Strange trying to control the boils and swelling pipples you name it. But! Diet is the key along with suppliments (vitamins). Stay away from fast food bring your weight down to no more the 10 - 15 pounds over weight. Eat way more veggies everyday. Try to become a veggietarian. Limit dairy, fat, fatty meats, breads, sugars ect.....min two showers per day. Clean the area. Keep your clothes clean. Do not reuse your underware change twice a day min. See a dermatologist and share my thoughts with them. This comes from a lifetime of knowledge. Oh ya one more item.....Share with your potential partner about genetic conditions like hidranditis supperativa and be open. It its too much for them to handel find out early. Lives have been ruined by hiding the condition be open a proud. I would love to meet a woman with the same condition it is controlable. Do not be imbarrised ladies and gentelmen this is only a condition.

1) try to limit eating wheat and dairy (doing a Paleo diet is ideal)
2) exercise and try to be as LEAN and healthy as possible (HS is fueled by being overweight)
3) keep your skin clean and hydrated (wash with a benzyl peroxide wash, and moisturize after)
4) avoid tight or damp clothing, and wear underwear that doesn't stay damp
5) after exercising get out of sweaty clothes immediately
6) be kind to yourself! take solace in your recovery as you stick to these guidelines!

You likely have HS or folliculitis. The earlier you treat the less scarring you will have. Also, I am 28 and have been dealing with this since I was 13 and it only gets worse if you don't treat it (scars upon scars, leading to darkened skin) and it can spread. Last year it spread to my arm pits and that made me get off my butt and go to a dermatologist! The few bumps I had on my arm pits are gone and there are no new ones or scars.
Basically, go to the dermatologist and fix it! It's way easier to just change your soap and put on some lotion than to do laundry everyday, change towels, sacrifice your skinny jeans, and cut foods you love. So bite the bullet and go! Hope this helped someone!
