Hello everyone.
On January 16 my boyfriend and I were having sex and the condom
fell off. Two days later I took plan B and my period came on it's expected date of the 23rd. I am starting the
nuvaring so I inserted the ring on the first day of my period like my OBGYN instructed me to do so. I am currently on my 12 day of bleeding.
It's been normal to light for the first five days. On the sixth it stopped completely and the seve th in the morning I experienced light bleeding then heavy blood like clots. On the eighth and everyday after I have been experiencing spotting (dark brown discharge)to extremely light (light pink) periods since then. I figured it is the doubling up on hormones that it is my body trying to get used to it and this is how I am reacting to them.
Is this common? If the bleeding continues for the next two days I am going to see my DR.
