I am 22 years old. I was in an offroad accident 4 years ago and basically damaged everything in my left foot. I had skin graphs and over 10 surgeries. Anyways I am very used to pain in my foot. Since I have only 4 toes (lost the toe next to the big toe) I developed a sharp bunion and hammertoe . The hammertoe was bad that I was walking on my bone instead of ball of foot. It has been 2 weeks and I have no pain. I am still no weight on my foot because I am used to recovery from years ago. I have been elevating my foot a lot!!!!! and not icing it as much as the first week but still I've it. I have a little bit of swelling. I still have stitches because I was still bleeding a little. So far the only annoying thing is I have a 2 year old daughter that wants me to play with her a lot. I am trying to hang in there but if this week I don't take the stiches out & put some weight on it...then I feel like my recovery will be longer than I expected. I don't think it is as bad as most of the post I see. Just stay positive and keep off your foot as much as you can for the first month.
