Hello everyone, I am 4 days post op from a c5/6 6/7 fusion with donated bone and a titanium plate. I have new symptoms and was wondering if I needed to worry much. My right pinky and ring finger are going numb when sitting in my recliner only and my left foot is tingling a bit when sitting in my recliner. Do you think this will just run it's course or should I worry?
By the sounds of it, ive had a very similar operation in November 2012. Pre opp, i had pins n needles down right arm and couldnt straighten my head,as well as a sore right hand side of neck. Had surgery and woke up without pins n needles and i had normal movement in neck, a bit sore, but thats normal. I also suffered minor pins n needles down left arm. I mentioned this to neurosurgeon and his response was it would disappear in time. And yep, its gone. I found sitting wrong postured was the main cause. Im into my 2nd week of hydrotherapy, and so far so good.So no, i wouldnt get too worried about it, and remember we are all different. Make sure to let your doctors know about any symptoms you are suffering. All the best.
