We used condoms every time, they didnt break but is it possible that there could have been pre-cum on the outside of them when we had sex from when he put the condom on. my period is a couple of days late and im a bit worried!

you should be fine as long as he put the condom on right.
and fyi
precum DOESN"T have any SPERM in it. the only way you can get pregant from precum is if there was any sperm (left over) from the last time he "went". as long as he cleans his penis and he goes to the bathroom (and takes pee's to wash away the sperm inside the tube) thier would be VERY LITTLE to NO SPERM in precum.
so in your case you should have nothing to worrie about
but it is always a possibleity to get pregant.
