Yesterday was the last day of my period so my boyfriend and I decided to have sex. With no protection. He cummed in me. & im well aware it isbto early to tell if I am pregnant. But is there an alternative to the morning after pill? Since legally, icannot purchase them

Hi Pkease,

No, there is no alternative to an emergency contraceptive.

Good luck.

An IUD is an alternative, but must be advised on and fitted by a healthcare professional. It is not cheap.

However, you have not indicated how long your cycle is. With a 28-day cycle, it is not likely to have been in your fertile days. Nevertheless, anytime you have sex there is the possibility of pregnancy following.

In this case an IUD is not really an alternative. You'd need your parents permission for one. Emergency contraceptive pills, at your age, also would require a prescription. Maybe an older friend can get them for you?

Like Shepherd says however, you likely weren't in your fertile days but there is always the possibility.

If you are going to be sexually active always use a form of birth control.

Parental permission depends on where you live.

According to the Guttmacher Institute (tracks laws affecting women's health) in 21 states, all teenagers can get contraceptives without parental permission, and few other states allow it under certain circumstances.

Getting an older friend to get medication for you is probably illegal. It would certainly be a serious offence in UK.
