Hello. I'm 29 year old female and I would like to find out some information about pregnancy and menstrual periods.
About two months ago I have found out that I'm pregnant and my husband and I were thrilled when we found out that news.
Since then, I had no problems with my pregnancy but there is one thing that confuses me a bit.
I have noticed that I'm still having normal menstrual periods.
How could this be? I know that this never could happen if all things related to pregnancy are normal and I don’t know what to think right now. Please tell me what the hell is going on with me!

Hello. I can see that you are worried about this particular problem but you shouldn’t panic that much. I will tell you more about this.
Like you already probably know but once your body starts producing human chorionic Gonadotropin- the pregnancy hormone and pregnancy is established, your menstrual cycle will be interrupted and normal periods will definitely stop.
But still many women do experience bleeding during early pregnancy for several reasons, among which are implantation bleeding, bleeding caused by hormonal fluctuations, ectopic pregnancy and possible miscarriage. I suggest you to tell all about this to you gynecologist so that he could monitor this more closely.
