I just returned from a reunion 'of sorts" with all my family. My sister-in-law who has 2 children already informed us that she is expecting again. She has not been to the doctor, but assumes she is due sometime in late August or early September.
Although I am opposed to her not seeking medical attention for her pregnancy, this is not the problem. She has continued to wear her birth control patch throughout her pregnancy. Does anyone know what kinds of problems her growing baby is being subjected to? I am sure that by this time into pregnancy, the damage is done, but perhaps I can give her a push to see the doctor, ASAP. Thanks
i went to the doctor TODAY to refill my birth control (i'm on the patch). i ran out before i noticed to make an appointment so was off the patch for about 2 weeks.

my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex recently, so i told my doctor (and took the morning after pill).

she told me that i should take a pregnancy test in a week and that if i am pregnant then the patch could harm the child. she didn't specifically say that it would make me miscarry, but that's what i assumed after our conversation.

i'm sure its not good for her to be wearing the patch throughout the pregnancy. i also don't understand why she would wear it... considering you can't get pregnant if you're already pregnant and they cost a lot of money...

i hope you can get her to seek medical help, especially because the baby could be harmed because of the patch!
