I was wondering if anyone could help me. Me and my partner are trying for a baby and we had sex before and during my ovulation, unprotected. This would have been between the 28th n 3rd of May. On sunday the 14th i started bleeding heavily for a couple of days. My period was due on the 21st of June and it is now the 25th and there is no sign of it coming. Can someone please explain what is wrong?? Thank you in advance.
Hi hon: I think you meant to say the 30th of May so I will take it as that. I think the 14th was just an intermitent period. These can happen from time to time. You can bleed really heavily in the middle of a cycle then nothing. You can skip or be really late, lighter etc. For no apparent reason.

There isn't anything wrong, UNLESS you are experiencing pelvic or ovary pain - then it would be a sign of Cystisis of the ovaries. How long have you and your partner been trying? I was just thinking of something, perhaps you should take a pregnancy test just to see if you are pregnant!!! Because technically your period IS late, and because of the fact that MANY women have intermitent bleeding doesn't really mean that this was your period. Actually more and more women are still getting their periods when they are pregnant!!! So take a test and see. Because if you are your HCG levels will be high enough because of you having sex on the 28 - 30th of May. Let me know how that goes OK? Good luck and health hon!

Hi hon: Sorry to hear that! When your periods are wonky it sometimes takes longer to become pregnant. Have you had a pelvic ultrasound? Just to rule out any cycstic ovaries! You can have cystic ovaries and still have a period - due to intermittant ovulation. So just get that rule out ok? And regular healthy no problem couples can take up to a year to become pregnant OK? Your doctor could put you on Clomid or Metphormin if you are having trouble ovulating - so there are MANY options OK? Good luck, health and I'm always on here if you want to talk!
