Prolonged bleeding after Plan B

I have had a similar situation. I took it plan B on march 9th got my period on the 12 for a week (that is normal) but it was heavy and have had spotting like all of you have mentioned ever since. Its very light spotting only when i go to the bathroom but it’s a darker color. I am thinking of going to the doctor again since it’s been almost a month now.

So I had sex Tuesday went in and took plan b now the next day Wednesday I went to the restroom and suddenly felt it painful to pee and every time I wiped it came out with a light color of blood. Is this normal?

Ok....so feeling better that everyone is having same issue. Not feeling better that no one has gotten a response. Did anyone of u find out u wer pregnant, or having a miscarriage?

I took the Plan B pill 5 days ago (on a Friday) after my bf and I had unprotected sex 2 days before (on Wednesday).  The last day of my cycle was that Tues/Wednesday, but today, I am bleeding heavily and cramping again.  I've taken Next Choice (i think thats the name of it; its in a pink box) twice, a generic of the morning after pill, before and I have never spotted or bled before.  Im hoping it's just a side affect from the pill and that nothing major is wrong or that Im pregnant.    

If it is just a side affect, then I definitely would not recommend Plan B to anyone.  If you are in need of an emergency contraceptive, I would go with Next Choice or another pill.

Help! I am freaking out. I took plan B within 48 hours of the unprotected sex. Its been about 5 days and I still have not got my period. Everyone I have talked to says I should have gotten my period by now. Is this normal or should I be worried about being pregnant. I am a teenager and I really do not want to be a teenage mom.  

when taking plan b you need to see when your last period was mark the day you had unprotected sex and the day you took plan b then see when you are supposed to start your period. plan b doesn't make you get your period faster it just helps prevent an unplanned pregnancy. now if you don't start when you are supposed to i recommend taking a pregnancy test.

oh my god the SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME I TOOK UT AND A FEW DAYS LATER I BLEED VERY HEAVY FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS ITS CRAZY. ALWAYS TOOK THE PLAN B AND NEVER HAD THESE AFFECTS I GUESS ITS OUR BODY AND AGING. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY. GUESS WE GOTTA KEEP SAFE OUT THERE PEOPLE.. RELIEF

same thing is happening to me.. ive used plan b before without side effects. but this time after taking it 2 days later i started this weird light period... and now its at day 10 and still going on.. same other side effects.. i freaked and called planned parenthood. they said these are possible "normal" side effects.. but no idea how long it lasts.. each woman is different.. : /

i am having the same problem.. was wondering how your experience turned out.. is it normal?

I am going through EXACTLY the same thing right now. I have read several aticles about ectopic pregnancies etc and it is a bit alarming really. I, too have taken botht the one and two day plan B before and never had this result. This is day 10 begniong with four days of near hemmorage followed by the last five of a dark pink, not quite red flow.
Did anyone ever get back to you about this?

This is exactly what I went through DVD my period finally ended after the fifteenth day. I want to know if that's normal after taking plan B.

I took Plan B within 48 hours of my concerns.  5 days later I began with a dark brown gooey discharge, the following day it turned heavy flow/ bright red (like as if I cut my finger type blood...not thick and not dark and I didn't experience anymore than the usual menstrual cramping) It is now going on day 4 and it's still the same amount of flow and bright red.  Over the last few years, my periods start and finish within about 3 days.  I am feeling like majority of everyone here....a little concerned about the amount of blood I am losing and that it's the colour it is....

this is EXACTLY what happened to me. I'm freaking out, the black blood scared me then it went normal and then it got light and never went away. I'm in my second week of bleeding and there's no sign of stopping.

Go to the doctor they will give you meds to stop the bleeding....

Hi im havin similiar experience as well d only think i took plan b twice in less than 2 weeks, i have been bleeding since 8 of june on tge 15 i jus started spotting n though d bleeding was easing up but on d 17 i began to bleed heavy n continue spotting up till today. Its so weird cuz id think d bleeding is easing up only for it to start back today is 13 days since im bleeding / spotting been to d dr had bloods and ultrasound done everything was gd but d dr did tell those pills send off ur hormones so it sometimes takes about a month for ur body to re adjust itself n more than likely ill bleed for d entire month which i dont look forward to cuz it scares me i have never taken plan b before and im jus fed up of d bleeding i hope it stops soon!!!
