I took 3 weeks of pills and took an extra week because I wanted to delay my period a week. I was spotting a lot during that 4th week. Just wondering if the pill is any less effective while I'm spotting?
I'm skipping mine for the first time. I've been spotting for 3 days (since starting the new pack) Does this mean my period will probably skip? I'm worried bc we are leaving on a road trip tomorrow and supposed to start tomorrow. Thanks if you see this! Lol!
I have been going through this for almost 7 days. My doctor prescribed me birth control for endometriosis, heavy period, and unbearable cramps. I had been on birth control for 10 years and just restarted it. My doctor said 'the day you start bleeding, start taking the pill then just skip the sugar pills'. I understand there is no medical need for a period, but this brown icky spotting is inconvenient and almost worse than my period was. I still get cramping, too. Help!
Ok so I haven't been skipping my placebo pills at all for months, but starting last month, I started getting that gross dark brown discharge about a week and a half before my period, anyone know why this could be??? I've been on the same pill for about 3 years.
I finally decided to skip the sugar pill week and start a new pack in order to skip my period for vacation. BAD DECISION. my body is not used to it and by the end of the first week of the new pack, my body decided to have my normal period. It's lasting a long time too. Never trying to skip again!
I am currently going through the brown spotting if I took the red pills for the period could that bring my period back and keep going with them ?
Yes, I feel the exact same way. Never skipping again! I did it because I was going on vacation and didn't want to worry about it with a bathing suit and white clothing. Just wanted a stress free vacation. The week after though is totally not worth it!!

I skipped my placebo pills and started a new pack because I had to go on vacation, now I'm in my finally week before the next placebo pills but I've been spotting for 3 days straight.. this is so annoying I don't think I will attempt this again . At first I thought my pills failed and I'm pregnant but convinced that it's just breakthrough bleeding.
I tried skipping my period and it didn't work. I have basically been bleeding since the 5 days into active pills. I will never do it again. I would have rather just had my period. This sucks!
I've been going threw the same thing. I skipped my period one time so I could go on my beach trip, but then when it was time for my period it lasted about a week and a half then a week or two letter got brown spotting and I might have well just as well had my period. Lesson learned on this I'm just ready for the brown spotting to go away.
