I was so afraid of this. I too quit in Oct 2018 and 2 rounds of pneumonia. Sep/ 20198 on the Feb 2020 . This is crazy and really wonder if it is withdrawal of cigarettes that lasts some 18 months. Friend told me he was never more sick. I will not smoke ever ever , again. No energy Body is so sore. No weight gain as i cannot breath to eat. Have fever. Been in quarantine, Think China needs to test their pollution issues. That virus in it maybe? PLEASE kids , DO not smoke.

This is Kathy L No, not smoking. I stopped getting email notifications from Steady Health. It looks like my account was deleted. And then my mother passed. Lots of problems on top of the quit smoking one. I am better than I was but still not good. Thanks for asking.

Sad to know about your mother. If you have not picked up smoke again with so many problems then one thing is confirmed that u will not pick it again ever. Take care of yourself

Its been a long time since ive been back, but was just thinking about this. I don't have an exact day anymore, but ive been quit for 3 years 5 months and some change. I too went through the absolute ringer. Smoked 14 years, pack a day sometimes more. im 35 now. I had massive acid reflux, anxiety through the roof, insane hypochodria, wheezing. I never had any hacking up tar sh*t, just never happened. I think it gave me the acid reflux and um diarrhea. this went on for about 2.5 years. Then finally you just start adapting to regular life, and things fade out. everyone is different it just takes time. A big help to me was to simply just try to forget. I took on projects to keep me focused on literally anything else than my "quit" Hang in there all... it definitely gets better and better till its done.

I smoked for 20 years 20 cigerretes a day from age 15 to 35 and now clear for last 8 years. All my symptomes which u r having after 5 years faded in 3 years for me. Today if I start smoking again it will be for stress/anxiety only as I never faced.it when i was smoking. If u ever start (my advice dont start) then do let share your experience here

I know a few ppl who have quit. One has quit and not even a sniffle or sneeze. The other has started smoking after quitting for 2 years because he had similar things going on and because he was stressing at the time, he began smoking again. I asked him how it is ? He said it all but dissappeared. Well, within a few days he got quite a bit of headaches and bouts of confusion. But within a few days he had become the sod everyone knew him as. He said, although it probably isnt the case, he feels like he can breathe better as tho he can feel the breath embed within his self. Slight feelings of euphoria and the anxiety had all but disappeared. This is whats making me start back up. He said also said, if youv smoked most of your life your body is most likely adapted to it.
You say your feelings if such had gone in 3 years. Do you know any subtle hints you had as to you realising your getting better ?

so mate you said that your friend started feeling better after started smoking. All the symptoms he was feeling after quitting smoking disappeared when he started smoking again? Your symptoms will definitely improve if you keep going. My personal observation is smoking only masks anxiety and when anxiety is masked you dont feel lot of things. I live in Australia and the price of 25 cigerettes pack is 48$ which is ridiculous , you can smoke so expensive cigarettes. Another issue of mine is I have developed bit of Asthma after quitting smoking. I would suggest you dont start smoking again but if you do and you feel better then share your experience with us
