It is very important to get rid of that infection in his bloodstream. This is my 3rd round this year fighting it, But going to the ER tomorrow ...I have sore down on my lower legs and I went to a skin doc and he said they see that when someone has a leftover strep throat infection that has got into the bloodstream. I've heard that the bacteria can effect organs, lungs etc if not got rid of.

Honey ... The stomach ache is a result of the antibiotics upsetting the flora in your child's digestive tract.
I will give you some advice, but it maybe hard for you to follow it.
Each time you "rush" your child to the ER and get ... amoxicilin, clyndomycin and now we're on augmenton.
You are preventing your child from developing resistance to the 20 or so species of strep.
Don't get me wrong .. strep is dangerous. One or two of the 20 kind of strep bacteria are flesh eating. Those bacteria
have no clue if they are in a dead rat's gut or in your child's throat. They spew toxic material to break down protein, making
it easier for them to get nutrition, they also multiply fast because they do not want to compete with other like minded bacteria
for the excrement in the dead rat's gut. If your child has flesh eating strep ... well you will have a clew or two in a day or two,
in which case a visit to the ER is a really good idea.
Here is advice which by the sound of your post you will ignore. Have the antibiotics on hand, from what you have written
you must have a stash of them left over. I prefer Zitromax - Azithromycin 500mg. Clyndomycin is sorta in the same family
I might give it to my dog but not my kid.
Do not take your kid to the ER .. go to your regular doctor the next day with your coughing contagious kid and ask for
the Augmentin or better yet Zitromax. When you get home, instead of giving your child the medication put it in your
medicine case, do not give it to your child.
It takes 10 days for strep to work itself out, bundle your kid up and if you where able to score something to help the kid
sleep give it to him ( a shot of Scotch has the same effect .. just kidding). Let the little b****r sleep, give him Jewish penicillin
(chicken soup), warm tea, a tad of cough suppressant so he does not hack his throat raw, and let him ride it out for the next
five days. You might want to pop one antibiotic in his mouth .. but just one so he does not get sicker and wait and see what
happens.
If the strep starts to move down into his lungs .. well you have the antibiotics there, so use the. If the strep levels out and
hopefully gets progressively better ... let him stay "sick" for the next five day. He is a kid, kids are supposed to get sick.
Strep stays around for long time, the full course is about 10 days. However by day five your kid's immune system has
recognized and recorded the strep bacteria, and learned to attack it when and if it sees it again. After 5 days wack
the remaining bacteria with the Zitromax .. complete the full dose. That should do it, Augmentin by the way would be
the second choice.
The ER is for EMERGENCIES, unfortunately many "drama" queen mothers rush their kid there for strep. They get
a script of some antibiotic, the kid never really gets better, because the same bacteria will always be there and
the kid's immune system never learns to deal with it .........................................

You are a m***n ... ride out the strep for a week ... then take antibiotics ... you won't die (well hopefully .. lol) and your
immune system will learn to fight the strep ...

This is literally the worst advice I have ever seen and I hope to God you are not a parent
