Recurrent step can be a sign of mono (look on the Mayo clinic website). Mono can also cause a softening of the spleen, which can become a medical emergency. I would suggest that you request a blood test for mono, stressing the recurrence and the abdominal symptoms.

Strep, if left untreated, can cause rhumatic fever, which leads to serious damage to the heart. The alopathic medical system does best at treating acute issues, and a strep infection counts as an acute issue. This advice is simplistic and naive.

You may not read this since it was over a year ago since your post. But, I have had strep throat every year since I was a child. I always had lower back pain with body aches. My throat hurt, but not as bad as my whole body. I started taking these vitamins 6 years ago. Garden of life. Purely natural. I have not had strep one time since! Hope this helps~

Got diagnosed with strep, took antibiotics, and got better, but now my mouth is sore again. I have white patches at the back of my mouth, so I went to the doctor and strep was negative, mono negative, white blood count normal. Don't know what is wrong with me. What do you think?
