Hey ijustwanttohelp,
Thank you so much for sharing. I am a girl and just about 2 months ago I started breaking out in this incredibly itchy rash. It cranks up horribly after sex, gets red sometimes and just this week started to flake skin. I at first thought it was STD's but have since ruled that out. Your symptoms sound just like mine and I am plannin gon heading to my doc to ask for that cream. Thanks for the help! :)

I have some what similar issues but probably different ... my skin is ultra sensitive to everything ... I know the topic is about "red itchy patches in "pubic area" but I just get itchy pubic area ... for no reason .. I'm very hygienically clean for a girl .. as a young girl I learned that shaving cream i'm allergic to I constantly get ingrown hair no matter how much I've exfoliated or how natural and chemical -free or vegan products I used on my light native american Caucasian skin .. I don't tan I burn easily .. my leg hair is easily irritated as my pubic area is when it come to hair removal or natural grooming ... sense I was little I've always had breakouts sens puberty in the pubic region and whether it was acne or ingrown hairs or nothing, it still itched.. so I've pretty much tried everything except expensive hair removal by laser or electrolysis sense I cannot afford it yet... I did notice a change somewhat in the eating habits or other products I was using even down to the clothing wash products, when I started eating Organic & somewhat vegetarian my body changed in the sense of acne and bad toxins from bad processed foods .. changed my washer detergent to organic, changed my sensitivity to my cloths and the way they felt against my skin ... but that still didn't change the skin problems I have or had with just maintaining hair removal and body presentation ...
I'm 20 now and recently went to the doctor because of an intense itch and found out presently I have my first severe yeast infection ... I've never had that before but still itched in my past and don't think that's gonna change even though medically of an issue now..

Apparently though I have to those that care or women and young girls that may have similar issue with me; I'm consider to have "chronic discharged or known as being chronically wet all the time"... which based on what my doctor says is another reason or higher percentage for getting a yeast infection, but I never got it before until now and I've itched and had room for infection before .. soo it doesn't make sense ..

The doctor prescribed two pills one I take that day another I have yet to take seven days later ... (cannot remember drug brand name)
they worked very well but I still presently feel burning and itching, yeast infections SUCK!

I've tried itching creams & wipes but they temporarily relieve nothing is permanent ...

I've decided I'm going to eat more yogurt do to yogurt like activia has better or good bacteria for yeast infections, if and when or before the yeast infection is gone, I'm changing my diet to a healthier one .. going back to organic eating, working out more, not eating junk food ...uuhuu I have yet to figure my body and self out ... sooo frustrating ... I don't know what im doing wrong ..

By the way soo off topic but I'm also ADD & ADHD (sugar or processed caffeine is bad for people like me stay away from go organic changes everything with this disorder) (allergic to ADD & ADHD drugs to control this disorder too.)

Other disorder or allergies I have to:
I have a severe depression disorder
Post Traumatic Disorder
Anxiety Disorder
Paranoia Disorder

Food - no allergies yet that I know off unless I go Vegan or completely Organic longer than say 2-3 months

Other problems
I have asthma
I'm allergic (deathly) to any Cyillan family in or like drugs; like Penicillin
I'm allergic to Benadryl also...
I'm allergic to all non-organic or vegan based make-up
I'm allergic to all Nair & Veet hair removal products (severely)
I'm allergic to or very sensitive to certain or almost all types of waxes ...
Allergic or irritated by Sulfur
Allergic or irritated by shaving Creams
Allergic to or irritated by most drugstore acne products (Clean & Clear - Neutrogena etc also ProActive also)
I have a hormonal imbalance and bleed to much  on Birth Control
Iron deficient - anemic

mmm does anybody else have these problems or know anyone like me .. Lol ...

Thinking about saving money for permanent hair removal..
thinking about a new diet or eat habits
thinking about seeing 3 different specialists
a. herbalist
b. nutritionist & regular doc
c. dermatologist or other skin doctor ...

This is the best reply yet. I also cleaned up with a sock and believe that I got a fungal infection as a result. I started using Lamisil for athletes foot and the itch is going away. Funny thing is, I bought it by mistake thinking I was buying something for Jock Itch. Well there's a little bit of brilliance in every mistake.

I am female and have had this same problem for about half a year. It started out as what I believe was just a yeast infection, but the doctors had me on long-term antibiotics for the duration of my pregnancy. When I got such a bad yeast infection that I thought I was going to kill myself from itching so bad, I stopped taking the antibiotics. I started researching what this annoying itch could be and found the only answer for me was candida. Candida manifests itself in many different ways, including headaches, tiredness, yeast infections of the vagina, etc. I went on the Candida diet for about 2 weeks and the itching was gone. However, when I stopped it, it came back again. So I know it's related somehow. Now I have developed these dry itchy patches, and I am seeing a doctor in a couple weeks to have a biopsy taken of them. I HIGHLY recommend that you do this, since in my experience with different illnesses, you can run around in circles until you're blue and everyone is telling you something different. So far, my doctors have insisted it's just a yeast infection but I am convinced there is something more behind it.

I've had the same problem. There's a red circle the size of a quarter on my area & it itches so bad, it flakes as well. I've had the same partner for 5 years. I don't think it would be an std but my partner did give me athletes foot while playing footsies >.< I use the same towel to dry my body maybe that's where my fungal infection from my feet spread to my area???? I don't know but I hope I find out soon and get rid of it!

It's pseriosas. Use dandruff shampoo on the skin daily when showering and hydrocortisone to relieve the itch. I'm a 28 male with little red flaky spots that appear in my pubic area and it's just pseriosas which is hereditary. I get them on my neck and legs and dandruff shampoo or a steroid cream from the dermatologist helps

I don't know. I have been to three dermatologist and they say it is ring work but none of the anti- fungus creams have worked so far and it is itching constantly. It's embarrassing and uncomfortable to say the least. If its fungal it should have gone by now it has been at least three months.

Here's a very effective tip if you don't mind but if you literally shave everything off then it goes away, well this is how it works on me and there's no irritation what so ever. Hope this helps

I also have this problem. The rash is fairly large and very itchy. My doctor doesnt know what it is, I've tried lotramin because i thought it was jock itch. That didnt work. I'll be goin in again o get a second opinion. Ive read some that it could be psoriasis. I'm negative on all stds. The ones anyways. Its very itchy and at night i scratch in my sleep which i assume makes it worse, but I cant stop. I also get those red itchy spots after a shower. I assumed it was the soap/shower gel i was using, but ive changed so many times. Hopefully its nothing serious, however its quite embarrassing. Thanks for the help.

I've had the problem everyone is talking about, the red itchy patches in pubic hair, and I've noticed over a 15 year period that every time I eat an excessive amount of sweets at one time I get these spots within 24 hours or less, usually just one and it goes away after using hydrocortisone cream for about a week but the older I get more patches break out.
