Red spotting 2 weeks after I have finished my my period.

Hi there, I got my period 2 weeks ago and noticed light spotting for a day an last night I bled enough to half full a tampond but now has stop it was dark red. I have been having unprotected sex but also have been taking birth control pill but missing a day here and there. What could this mean?
