Hi. I'm 47 years old and since my wife died in a car accident four years ago I suffer from constant depression.
In the beginning I didn’t use any drug but since I spotted that my depression symptoms persisted.
So, I started to use Celexa and in the beginning it was very helpful but
my symptoms had shown again after some time. I contacted my psychiatrist and he said that I maybe suffer from some type of depression called Major depression and prescribed me some Remeron.
Any additional informations about Major depression and this drug?

You are right-Remeron is usually prescribed for treatment of Major depression.
The symptoms of major depression in most cases include changes in appetite and weight, difficulty sleeping, loss of interest in pleasurable activities, constant fidgeting or a slowdown in movement and fatigue.
Remeron is very good choice for treatment because it work by leveling the balance of the brain's natural chemical messengers, especially noradrenalin and serotonin.
There are some side effects you should be aware of such as "flu-like" symptoms, increased appetite, sleepiness, weakness and weight gain.
Good luck!
