I've had these small black "blood blisters" on my scrotum for about 6 months. After researching several home remedies, I tried two that successfully work to get rid of them. The first method was the "freeze" treatment. Bought over-the-counter freeze away wart remover and clipped the applicator so the contact area was more pointed and with less surface area. I left the applicator on each blister for about 10 sec.  Positive: Not TOO terribly painful and after skin healed, the blister was gone with no scaring. Negative: healing time is about 3-5 days and scabs over. The second method I tried was using a soldering iron to somewhat cauterize the blister. I bought a soldering iron from Walmart for about $6. Let it heat up and since it is pointed to a narrow tip, it pretty much will only touch the blister. It only takes about a second or two. Positive: Effects are almost immediate. No real healing time. Quick. Negative: A little more painful (but get use to it after the first one or two blisters). Some might take more than one treatment. Hope this helps to get rid of these unsightly spots!

Thank you Taveno! The Wartner worked like a charm. One of my blood blisters had gotten large and had ruptured a couple of times. It's been one week since I used the Wartner, and the blister is gone without a trace! I highly recommend this treatment.

I have had small blood blisters on my scrodam as well for a few years now. I`m a 41 year old mail, and I ruptured one while i was drying out of the shower. IT took me a good 30 minutes to stop the steady bleeding. More like gushing. I was very concearned. What I learned to do in this experience is to stop the bleeding Asap before you get blood all over.. Apply steady pressure with gause, lay down on your back, and keep testicles cold. When the sack shrinks from cold, it helps to close the wound up so the blood can coagolate and seal. It worked for me, and I have several more blister dots the size of a stick pin head. So it`s a matter of time before I get to deal with a pop, I suppose

I started developing these small red lumps around 5 years ago. at the age of 30. At the time I went to the sexual health clinic and there doctor there told me it was just trauma and would probably go away after a few months. That made sense as the 6 months leading up to that I was on a meth bender and tying rubber bands around my balls while I masturbated for pleasure.

But they didn't go away... they got progressively worse and worse, now 5 years later, each is a bit larger than a match-head and they hurt at times. A few have even protruded out to be the length of an entire match... Usually these have dried up on their own accord and broken off after a couple days. My wife hates them, it really turns her off sex.

So the doctor was obviously retarded and didn't know what she was talking about. I went to another doctor recently to get them frozen off, he used quite a lot of liquid nitrogen on the right testicle which hurt like crazy, I couldn't walk the next day. So I never went back.

They are harmless, but damn ugly, it's best to remove them while they are small as they can get progressively worse. The pictures on the web and wikipedia are nothing compared to the size of mine. I should take a picture and upload it to wikipedia at some stage and article should be amended to highlight these facts.

For the 14-18 year old's freaking out about the white lumps, as already mentioned they are hair follicles and everyone gets them. Watch some porno's you'll see.

I have learned to wear uderwear when I notice one of the blisters hardening, when they fall off; they tend to bleed like hell. I have had this happen at work: Talk about embarassing! I am intrigued by the testosterone treatment, I am willing to try anything to get rid of them. I am also considering the dry ice thing. I have dozens of them, I hate them! They kill my libido! I am forced to love in the dark.

Pretty sure the only proven strategies that work are A: Laser Therapy.... But that is expensive, the alternate is B: freezing them causing them to scar (note this doesn't necessarily mean visible scar) which does work to a degree.

That is why I suggested people who only have small pinhead size ones to freeze them before they become a big problem. Most of mine are lady-beetle in size and some extrude out like spaghetti and dry quickly and fall off. The biggest one is about half the size of 1 M&M's.

I wouldn't think testosterone treatment would make much difference, as I have tons of that. Seriously, masturbate/have sex with the wife at least once a day... I'm turned on all the time.... so That's usually a sign of good testosterone levels. I think?

I would never, ever, ever put dry ice anywhere near my junk.

As suggested above I tried the Wartner wart removal system. It works! It does cause some discomfort. I treated only 3 or 4 at a time, so that when the burn comes out you do not have your whole scrotum red raw and weeping. I also suggest that yo use antiseptic powder, to be sure of no infection. At the rate I am going it will take about 4 weeks to treat about 30 blood blisters.

How does one test negative for genital herpes? I didn't know it could be tested. I have herpes and the angiofibromas but I don't think the two are related. The angiofibromas do not bother me except once after toweling off I had one bleed for awhile.
